Set up MCP and CLI

Give your AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and others) direct access to read, search, and create Falconer documents without leaving your development environment. The remote HTTP MCP server requires no local installation — just point your client at https://falconer.com/api/mcp and authenticate with OAuth.

Capabilities

You can use the MCP from Claude code,Code, Claude desktop,Desktop, Cursor, Codex, and anything that runssupports locally.remote HTTP MCP servers.

The Falconer MCP and CLI expose 4 functions:

read: allows your agents to read Falconer docs that you give it the link to
search: searches across your Falconer documents
create: write a new Falconer document to your private space, where you can clean it up and publish it to the company-wide information architecture
edit: make targeted edits to an existing Falconer document by providing the document identifier

1. Install CLI and authenticateAuthenticate

npm install -g @falconer/cli
falconer oauth login

Generate your API key in the Falconer UI, then enter it when prompted. Your credentials are stored at This opens your browser for OAuth sign-in. No API key needed. Your credentials are stored at ~/.config/falconer/config.json.

2. AddConnect to the remote MCP server

The Falconer MCP is hosted at https://falconer.com/api/mcp. No local binary or npx required.

Claude Code:

3. Verify

Claude Code: Restart and run /mcp — you should see falconer listed as active
Cursor: Open Command Palette → “View: Open MCP Settings”
Codex: Run codex mcp list to confirm the server is registered
